Dave Popkin is a versatile, veteran sportscaster based in the New York Metropolitan Area.
He is a play-by-play announcer for ESPN Regional Television covering college football and
basketball throughout the Northeast. Dave is entering his ninth season with Seton Hall
Basketball on radio and TV. He is in his 12th year as the Voice of the Northeast Conference,
serving as the men's basketball TV play-by-play voice on MSG and as a frequent presence on
other sports. Popkin has called eight different sports over the last three years for MSG
Varsity, a 24-hour high school sports network. The University of Miami (FL) graduate is
also the co-host of College Hoops Tonight presented by Pizza Hut, a weekly sports talk
show on four Millennium Radio stations in New Jersey. He has 12 years of minor league
baseball play-by-play experience, including for the Triple A Iowa Cubs.

 BACK ON THE PIRATE SHIP Dave will rejoin Gary Cohen and engineer Mike Infantino for their ninth year together on the Seton Hall Basketball Radio Network. Dave will first do play-by-play on SNY for the Nov. 12 opener vs. St. Francis, NY and then serve as the color commentator for Cohen on the balance of the radio games. 77WABC and ESPN New York 1050 will each carry about half of the Seton Hall broadcasts this year. Click here for full release.  NEC TV NETWORK Popkin returns for his 12th year as the men's basketball play-by-play Voice of the Northeast Conference Television Network. He is currently slated to call eight games on MSG and a variety of regional sports networks. Dave will be joined by his usual foils: Tim Capstraw, Paul Dottino, Terry O'Connor, Joe DeSantis, producer Eric Singer, and director Mitch Levites. Click here for full release.  LEGENDS CLASSIC BASKETBALL ON ESPN3 Dave will handle the play-by-play for the Ticket City Legends Classic at IZOD Center on Nov. 19 and 21.
